Chapter Director Jackie Murphy was very pleased to welcome two more members to the Gravesend Chapter this week. Ryan McKenzie of Flow3Drains has rejoined the Chapter and Estelle Gillett of The Wellness Centre has stopped subbing for us and actually joined us.They will both bring enthusiasm and value to the Chapter and we all look forward to working with them.
Jackie Murphy (and I am sure all the members) congratulated Peter Jones of PJ Office Services for becoming a BNI Director Consultant. I am sure PJ’s no-nonsense approach will benefit the Chapters under his care.
Rus Rogers of Ambition Driving Academy had a simple truth for his education slot. Something that is often overlooked and talked around but a very basic, strong truth and that is “Actions make things happen.”
The 60 second presentations were short and precise with members saying what they do, why they should be referred and who they want to be referred to. Making use of a great opportunity to get 44 people to sell for you! The winner this week was Karen Lewis who always gives a strong, clear, bright presentation for Medway Flooring.
July was a very busy month with 2,086 referrals for business passed between members and £92,691.14 worth of business recorded. Steve Kennedy of Payment Sense said thank you to John Ogden for a referral which brought in business worth £25,005.00
Gagi Ahluwalia of Minuteman Press gave his 10 minute presentation and told us that customer care was the key to his business and of primary importance. Minuteman Press offers the quality of a large printing company with the speed and price of a small printer. This is because he is part of a leading worldwide franchise with all the back- up that provides in marketing, paper prices and equipment.Gagi said that digital printing had made a huge impact on the market with demand doubling every year.It was “on demand” printing for all printing from business cards to large display posters. With digital, litho and in-house graphic design Minuteman Press is ready not only for business today but also for the Nano Technology of the future.
Referrals and testimonials followed with most members saying they had used Minuteman Press and how good the service was. There was also a testimonial for Rus Rogers of Ambition Driving Academy.
Thanks to the members keeping their referrals short and sweet, and to Jackie’s strong time management, The meeting closed at 8.30 am.
