The 18th August BNI chapter meeting at Gravesend heralded a visit from Jonnie Jensen, a social media trainer from To Be Social. Jonnie helps companies and individuals use social media to grow their online reputation, and presented a 10 minute talk on using LinkedIn to best effect. “From the strategy and research right through to using the tools, knowing what to say and reporting, it is possible to learn to use social networks with confidence,” he explained.
The BNI Gravesend meeting also noted a staggering £498k worth of business passed in July between members, with Melvyn Potter of Potters Kitchens & Bathrooms in Gravesend passing £21k worth of business to fellow members.
A week previously on 11th August, member Gagi Ahluwalia of local printers MinuteMan Press in Strood gave a 10 minute presentation about the company’s services. “We print a variety of products that are used for direct mail, marketing and general promotion,” explained Gagi. “We stock a large variety of envelope sizes and colours. We print postcards, flyers, letters, self-mailers, business reply cards, or anything else that you need to put into the mail, or use within an office.”
